ROLLING LADDER
Adding additional storage up top is an excellent idea, if you can reach, that's. Katie Ridder installed a rolling ladder (just such as the library!) in this excellent kitchen to reach ceiling-height cabinets.
BACKLESS STOOLS
A trio of backless stools can slip under the counter to save space in this Alabama kitchen that is tight . The room being, unified by their cream color blends in using the island. "You don't want the eye to stutter in a little space," she says.

To falsify a bright farmhouse kitchen in a Manhattan apartment, Celerie Kemble painted the cupboards the White Dove of Benjamin Moore. The white-tiled walls, as well as brass hardware and a milk glass chandelier, create the illusion of sunlight that is extra.
Brilliant Backsplash
The wall between this miniature kitchen and an adjacent living space was removed to make room. Visual separation between the rooms was kept having an island-breakfast bar. While polished and brushed stainless tile forms a standout backsplash placing the sink in the corner of the room made for more food prep space.

Glittering Galley
The old cupboard doors that were once in this galley kitchen could not take another coat of paint, so the homeowners brought in a layout ace for a complete overhaul. The newest layout called for the removal of a wall between family room as well as the small kitchen to open up the space. Scraped maple floors and straightforward cabinetry with river-stone hardware provide the area a clean, uncluttered vibe. The glass-tile mosaic backsplash twinkling beneath undercabinet lighting is a bold focal point that draws a person's eye.
METALLIC SHEEN
Designer Sheila Bridges did not let that cramp her style, although her Nyc kitchen might be about the little side. An elegant silvery-blue wallpaper adds some sudden excitement to some tiny space.
OPEN SHELVING
The kitchen in a Napa Valley ranch has open shelves instead of upper cupboards for an airy feel. The ledges and countertops are galvanized metal, and the cabinetry is manufactured out of old fencing. Classic truck springs were found at Artefact Design & Salvage. Designer and owner Ken Fulk spotted the vintage industrial pendant lights at the Paris flea market.
